Top SchoolAlexey Degtiarev is a pragmatic backend engineer with 11+ years building high-availability systems, databases and operational tooling across telecom, avionics, and SaaS domains. Currently a Scala-focused engineer at Axon, he blends Scala and MS SQL work with hands-on load testing, ArgoCD deployment and non-disruptive migration techniques. His background spans Node.js, C/C++, PL/SQL and Oracle/Postgres/MySQL administration, with deep experience in replication, idempotency and production incident response. Alexey has repeatedly delivered urgent hot fixes, CI automation for database changes, and pragmatic optimizations that reduce load and improve availability. Based in Florida, he pairs low-level systems know-how (kernel and driver backports, HA clusters) with cloud-native practices to keep complex services running smoothly.
