Summary
Alexey Koren is a cryptography engineer with a decade of experience focused on distributed ledger technologies, R&D and startup delivery, based in Amsterdam. He designs and implements privacy-preserving protocols—most recently contributing ZIP-226/227 for Zcash Shielded Assets at QEDIT—and previously led Corda privacy work at ING using Rust ZKP tooling (Zinc) and SGX proofs of concept. Comfortable bridging product, protocol and implementation, he maintains a Zinc fork, authors ZKP-friendly libraries (ZKKrypto) and has built compiler tooling to target ZKP VMs from Kotlin. As founder and technical lead of a location-based mobile audioguide startup, he still ships Android and backend code, keeping a pragmatic operator’s perspective. He blends deep cryptographic engineering with hands-on product development, and is equally at home debugging core protocol invariants or negotiating B2B customer requirements. An unusual strength is translating JVM/Kotlin ecosystems into ZKP-first toolchains, enabling practical privacy upgrades for enterprise DLTs.
