Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolAlexey Kostin is a Principal Engineer with over 20 years of R&D experience in designing and commercialising data-processing algorithms, now leading engineering at Monumo from the Greater Guildford area. He holds a PhD in mathematical optimisation applied to signals, images and 3D data, and has a deep track record in denoising, feature extraction, segmentation, and classifier/object detector design spanning classical statistics to modern deep neural networks. Alexey combines hands-on C++ and Python development with expertise in DNN conversion, surgery and inference optimisation across platforms, delivering low-maintenance, production-ready solutions. He also brings systems-level discipline—CI, virtualization and networking—ensuring robust delivery across the SDLC. An atypical strength is his ability to translate advanced mathematical optimisation into practical engineering trade-offs, making cutting-edge models efficient and deployable.
