Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlexey Trofimenko is a product-minded CTO with 18+ years of experience building and operating high-traffic e-commerce and e-travel platforms, and over 17 years of production Ruby on Rails expertise. He blends hands-on backend, deployment and DevOps work with team leadership—favoring small, empowered teams, short release cycles, and pragmatic engineering tradeoffs that optimize for changeability. Alexey has led end-to-end products from prototype to multi-market scale (notably a top-5 OTA in Russia) and has a strong track record hardening complex pipelines and uncovering subtle security issues. Comfortable across clouds, databases and a variety of dynamic and functional languages, he enjoys mentoring engineers and jumping into unfamiliar tech when it advances product goals. Based in Yerevan, he consults for startups and larger companies and prefers projects that allow exploring languages like Elixir, Rust or Haskell alongside mainstream stacks.
