Top SchoolAlexis Aguilar is a full-stack Software Engineer at Clerk with four years of experience building responsive, user-focused web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node, and PostgreSQL/MongoDB. She transitioned from veterinary medicine to web development in 2022, bringing a detail-oriented, empathetic approach honed in clinical and client-facing roles to product design and teamwork. An alumna and former mentor with 100Devs, she has shipped 30+ projects and thrives in collaborative code reviews, structured git workflows, and rapid prototyping from Figma to production. Alexis pairs strong frontend UX skills (Tailwind, MUI, accessibility-first thinking) with practical backend and auth experience (Clerk, NextAuth, JWT) and modern deployment/testing practices. Based in Miami, she’s a mental health advocate and community-minded technologist who prioritizes connection and measurable user value. Her background in high-stakes care work gives her an unusually empathetic lens for building software that serves real people.
