Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlfonso Álvarez is a senior software engineer with over 15 years of hands-on experience designing and delivering resilient, high-performance systems across Java, JavaScript and Golang. He has driven cloud-native and networking initiatives at Form3—building a multi-cloud Envoy-based proxy and optimizing DNS, TLS and gateway infrastructure across AWS, GCP and Azure—while maintaining low-latency backends that handle sustained traffic with strict SLAs. His background spans fintech, enterprise banking modernization, and consumer travel tech, combining architecture, on-call reliability, and incident rehearsals with strong mentorship and RFC discipline. Comfortable from low-level networking to full-stack mobile and web apps, he also has a track record of pragmatic tooling and automation (Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, CI/CD). Based in Southampton, he brings a blend of deep systems thinking and continual learning, often tackling non-obvious network and performance bottlenecks that unlock measurable production improvements.
