Top SchoolAlfonso Astorga is a Senior Software Engineer based in Madrid with 11 years of hands-on experience building products from scratch and owning features end-to-end, from idea to deployment and maintenance. Product-minded and self-taught, he blends deep systems fundamentals—OS internals, cryptography, cross-architecture builds, and kernel modules—with modern full-stack practices in Go and TypeScript. He has driven delivery across 10+ company projects at AMGA Ventures, applying rigorous engineering disciplines like TDD, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code to SaaS, realtime web, and containerized systems. Comfortable across databases (Postgres, InfluxDB, Fauna), protocols (gRPC, GraphQL, OAuth), and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS), he frequently bridges low-level concerns with user-facing features. Notably, Alfonso pairs security-aware engineering (code signing, VPNs, cryptographic primitives) with performance and observability practices, making systems both robust and fast. His mantra—Make it work, make it right, make it fast—captures a pragmatic focus on shipping reliable, maintainable software.
