Top SchoolAlfonso Romero is an Innovation Manager and senior data scientist based in Madrid with 13 years of hands-on experience applying ML and big-data technologies across finance and research. He has led model development and product-focused experimentation at Experian and BBVA, building production Python pipelines on Spark/Hadoop for scoring, segmentation and non-traditional credit signals. Trained as a computer scientist with a PhD and a background in graph-based bioinformatics research, he combines rigorous academic methods with pragmatic, product-driven deployment. Known for translating complex data science into commercial value, he now steers innovation initiatives at Experian’s DataLab, bridging research, engineering and partner-facing solutions.
