Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolAlice Yin is an engineering manager and former staff software engineer based in the Greater Seattle Area with a strong 10+ year track record building and operating large-scale distributed systems across top tech companies. She has driven streaming and fault-tolerant infrastructure at Facebook and Stripe—leading efforts like Flink HA with S3-backed checkpointing that eliminated a $1M annual operational cost—and now leads engineering at Temporal Technologies. Comfortable shipping across the stack, she has hands-on experience in stream processing platforms, auto-remediation tooling, and data pipeline integration, and she’s delivered both low-level query engine work and high-level operational services. Alice blends technical depth with people leadership, having managed multiple microservices and mentored teams through reliability and scalability challenges. An early research background in applying texture analysis to aerial imagery hints at a curiosity for turning noisy data into actionable signals.
