Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlison Vargas is a versatile software engineer with nine years of experience building resilient, scalable systems across web, mobile and gaming domains, currently contributing at Mercado Livre from Santa Catarina, Brazil. Comfortable as a generalist, she moves between frontend and backend stacks (React, Node, Typescript, Go, Ruby on Rails) and cloud/Kubernetes deployments, applying XP practices like TDD and pair programming. She pairs hands-on engineering with people-focused leadership—having led teams, mentored colleagues, and implemented product and infra strategies as a former IT manager and supervisor. Passionate about software architecture, APIs, AWS, Kanban and metrics-driven management, she also explores soft skills such as nonviolent communication and emotional intelligence to build ethical, high-trust teams. Notably, she has experience delivering high-throughput systems (e.g., large appointment platforms and CMS for major news portals) and building antifragile processes that scale with product and team maturity.
