Summary
👤
SeniorAllen Flickinger is a Senior Software Engineer with 11 years of experience building high-performance, production-grade systems across networking and cloud domains. He excels at turning complex distributed problems into elegant, user-focused products—ranging from SDN control planes and multi-tenant microservices to embedded DOCSIS tooling—frequently using Go and containerized infrastructure. At Comcast and Amazon he led scaling efforts, mentored engineers, and automated deployments with Terraform, CDK/CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines to improve reliability and time-to-market. Notably, he engineered a memory cache with Memgraph and created an LLM-based gamified training track for internal cybersecurity CTFs, blending systems engineering with practical security education. Based in New Jersey, he combines deep networking roots with modern cloud-native practices and a knack for building developer-facing tooling that reduces operational toil.
