Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlmaz Murzabekov is a Senior Data Engineer with 12 years of experience building and optimizing large-scale batch and real-time data platforms across fintech, media, and consulting environments. He has led data quality and cataloging initiatives, designed resilient Delta Lake and Spark-based pipelines, and automated CI/CD and monitoring for minimal service disruption. Comfortable across the stack—Python, Scala, Rust, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, Databricks, and cloud storage—he pairs hands-on engineering with data governance expertise informed by a master’s in Big Data Systems. A pragmatic leader and mentor, he has driven architecture shifts (lambda/kappa patterns, delta-calculus) and R&D efforts while onboarding and upskilling teams. Based in Amsterdam and currently at Xebia after impactful roles at PicsArt and Luxoft, he combines a taste for “wow” results with broad IT curiosity that often surfaces in tooling and automation projects.
