Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlon Harel is a Core Engineering Manager and hands-on distributed systems engineer with 11 years of experience building large-scale data platforms used by millions. He has led data infrastructure teams at Outbrain—where he delivered multi-cluster Hadoop migrations and tools that cut CPU usage and costs by over 30%—and contributed to Novi/Meta’s data storage and unified ML platform efforts. Comfortable from design to deployment, he specializes in real-time and batch pipelines, large-scale migrations, and observability tooling across Kafka, Spark, Hadoop and cloud environments. Based in Israel, he combines managerial leadership with deep engineering instincts: he still enjoys breaking and self-healing systems to learn how to make them more robust. Currently on parental leave and open to new challenges, he brings a track record of translating complex requirements into cost-saving, production-grade infrastructure.
