Alon Swartz
Co-founder at SpyderMix
Israel
Summary
👤
SeniorAlon Swartz is a serial technologist and founder with 19 years of experience building security-first infrastructure and developer tools from Israel. His career began in Israeli Air Force information security and evolved into founding multiple companies, including TurnKey Linux—responsible for millions of downloads and protecting 100,000+ servers—and later SpyderMix. He blends pragmatic engineering (small, secure Linux images, a 12MB Debian rootfs and Docker-focused tooling) with hands-on security work like Bitkey for air-gapped Bitcoin transactions and early blockchain tooling (co-owning one of the first Bitcoin block explorers). Alon combines product design instincts (ergonomic hardware to solve his own pain) with a track record of turning research and patents into widely used open-source and commercial solutions. Known for choosing high-risk, high-impact problems, he pairs deep technical chops with an operator’s discipline for shipping resilient, auditable systems.
