Top SchoolAlonso Iglesias is a predoctoral researcher in computer architecture at the University of A Coruña with 11 years of experience combining academic research and hands-on engineering. He holds a Computer Engineering degree and a Master in High Performance Computing, graduating with top marks, and has been engaged in research and collaboration roles within the university since 2020. His work focuses on computer architecture and high-performance systems, blending theoretical rigor with practical implementation. Colleagues describe him as detail-oriented and curious, comfortable with low-level systems and performance optimization (and unapologetically an Arch Linux user). Based in A Coruña, he brings regional research ties and continuous learning—recently studying German and Japanese—to an international technical profile. Outside academia he’s an enthusiast of cars and alternative fuels, a small but telling sign of his practical, engineering-minded curiosity.
