Top SchoolAmber Johnson is a Senior Software Engineer with eight years of experience building scalable platform and microservice architectures across Python, Java, Ruby, and TypeScript. She has driven reliability and developer productivity at companies like Ibotta, Guild Education, Alma, and now Accompany Health, with deep hands-on experience in AWS, MySQL/DynamoDB, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling. Amber pairs systems-level design—optimizing databases and service reliability—with developer-focused tooling and privacy-safe testing practices, including a proof-of-concept for safe test data generation. She mentors engineers, leads cross-functional projects, and routinely scopes architecture and roadmaps while also stepping into on-call support to resolve production incidents. Based in Fort Collins, Colorado, her background in full-stack development and an earlier career in education and health programs gives her a pragmatic, user-centered approach to engineering.
