Top SchoolAmir Abdolkhalegh is a senior software engineer and technical leader based in the Netherlands with over 11 years of hands-on experience delivering scalable, cloud-native systems across startups and large enterprises. He excels at aligning engineering strategy with business goals, having driven architecture and team growth from founding engineering squads to leading cross-functional teams of 100+ people. Proficient in Golang, Rust, Python and modern data stacks, he built real-time systems and microservices—such as a Golang/GraphQL chat for Instruqt and a Kafka-backed DLP platform—focused on reliability and measurable business impact. His background spans the full lifecycle from legacy modernization that doubled sales to aviation systems that cut costs by 40%, reflecting a talent for translating messy requirements into elegant, production-grade solutions. A pragmatic tinkerer, he frequently switches paradigms (OO vs functional) and languages to find the right tool for the problem, and champions infrastructure-as-code and observability to accelerate delivery. Colleagues rely on him to cut through complexity and own outcomes from design to deployment.
