Senior🎓
Top SchoolAmir Alian is a Senior Backend Developer based in Vienna with over a decade of experience building scalable backend systems using Python, Node.js, Java and PHP. He has a strong fintech and e-commerce background, having implemented event-driven Kafka services, microservices with BFF patterns, and GraphQL middle layers at Bitpanda and rebuilt legacy platforms into loosely coupled architectures at consumer startups. Comfortable leading small teams, he has repeatedly taken projects from sole developer to multi-developer delivery, improving performance, reducing bottlenecks, and boosting conversion through product-focused backend changes. Now at CHECK24, he continues to apply pragmatic architecture and hands-on development to complex backend problems, pairing system-level thinking with an engineer’s appetite for clean, refactorable code. An understated but useful trait: he blends low-level optimization experience with API design, so his work often yields both measurable performance gains and clearer service boundaries.
