Top SchoolAmit Jaiswal is an interdisciplinary AI researcher and faculty chair with a decade of experience applying machine learning, information retrieval, and blockchain to real-world problems across academia and industry. Currently leading the Jay Chaudhry Software Innovation Centre at IIT (BHU) Varanasi and an Honorary Fellow at the University of Surrey, he combines academic rigour from a PhD in Quantum-inspired Information Retrieval with hands-on research engineering in multimodal search, recommendations, and production-grade FinTech systems. His postdoctoral work spans cancer progression modelling at UCL and Surrey, and he has built synthetic-data and fraud-mitigation solutions for financial markets and DeFi. Comfortable bridging theory and product, Amit has co-founded crypto-focused ventures, led engineering teams, and spun research into a commercial MVP and a spin-off company. He frequently works at the intersection of quantum probabilistic modelling, ML for healthcare, and information access, and is notable for translating user behaviour signals into deployable retrieval and recommendation systems. Based between London and India, he blends global research collaborations with practical engineering leadership.
