Summary
👤
SeniorAmit Thawait is a Staff Software Engineer with 13 years of experience building and leading web-scale, microservices-driven systems across fintech and foodtech domains. He is proficient in Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot and Ruby on Rails, and applies Domain-Driven Design, design patterns and rigorous automated testing (unit, integration, contract) to ensure reliable delivery. Comfortable across the full stack and DevOps toolchain, Amit routinely leverages AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, Elasticsearch and CI/CD pipelines to run resilient production services. He has a track record of mentoring engineers and driving architecture decisions from his time at ThoughtWorks, Delivery Hero and now HungerStation. Notably, Amit blends hands-on coding with operational ownership—pairing feature development with monitoring and incident-aware design to reduce production toil. Based in Dubai, he brings practical experience with both RDBMS and NoSQL stores (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB) to solve data-intensive problems.
