Summary
👤
SeniorAnders Hopland is a senior software engineer based in Oslo with nine years of experience specializing in 3D systems and tooling. He currently leads 3D engineering at Cognite after progressing from backend 3D work to a senior role, bringing production-grade experience in mesh tools, shaders, file formats, VR, and performance optimization. Prior roles include building a commercial 3D sculpting suite at TenkLabs and developing test and internal systems at NORBIT, giving him a pragmatic blend of product-focused and systems engineering skills. He holds a Master’s in Computer Science from NTNU and has hands-on experience supporting users and students, which informs his collaborative, user-centric approach. Anders is comfortable across the full 3D stack—from low-level performance tuning to backend services—and often bridges gaps between graphics, tooling, and production deployment. Colleagues value his ability to translate complex 3D challenges into reliable, testable solutions.
