Top SchoolAnderson Vaz is a hands-on Head of Engineering based in Amsterdam with 13 years of experience turning research and legacy systems into product-grade, scalable platforms. He combines deep technical chops in Python, Java, MLOps and large-scale data architectures with strong people leadership—having led distributed teams in Amsterdam and Thessaloniki and overseen 20+ engineers across software and ML. At TAUS he built a production Quality Estimate API processing tens of millions of characters daily and implemented FinOps and serverless MLOps patterns that cut infrastructure costs dramatically. Now at Syntho he focuses on balancing sustainable scaling with pragmatic engineering for intensive data-processing products while fostering an innovative, stable culture. He pairs a Master's in Business Administration with long history as an instructor and architect, so he equally speaks to executives and engineers and often surfaces practical process fixes that accelerate delivery.
