Top SchoolAndrás Hegedüs is a Principal Data Engineer and AI solutions architect based in Budapest with over a decade of experience building and operating large-scale data platforms across enterprise and retail sectors. He has led end-to-end data lake migrations, production Spark and Presto deployments, and Jupyter-powered data science environments while bridging hands-on engineering with strategic program leadership. His background spans Hadoop ecosystem operations, cloud migration and automation, custom ETL tooling, and delivering analytics products that sit at the intersection of data science and engineering. At Lidl and GE Digital he drove initiatives that scaled data science teams and moved terabytes of enterprise data into modern platforms, and he now leads data engineering at DAALAB. Collected roles from research manager to principal engineer give him rare fluency in both statistical modeling and robust platform engineering—often turning prototype notebooks into reliable, automated pipelines.
