Summary
👤
SeniorAndré Brandão is a Data Engineer and Ph.D. in Computer Science with nine years of experience building production data platforms, ML-driven services, and analytics across agribusiness, oil & gas, edtech and public sector domains. He has led teams to deliver end-to-end data quality, ETL/ELT pipelines, and APIs at scale—optimizing a loyalty platform that processed billions in transactions and cutting property valuation workflows from days to minutes. Comfortable across cloud-native infra (AWS, Kubernetes), orchestration (Airflow, DBT, Spark) and ML tooling, he pairs hands-on engineering with research-grade rigor from his doctoral work. Notable outcomes include an award-winning ML service for Petrobras (F1 >95%) and automated allocation and retrieval systems for legal and financial workflows. Based in Greater Vancouver, he blends deep academic foundations with pragmatic product delivery and a knack for translating complex data problems into operational services.
