Senior🎓
Top SchoolAndre Sutherland is a Staff Software Engineer with a decade of experience building developer-friendly tooling, scalable serverless microservices, and performant front-end experiences for learning platforms. He has repeatedly led cross-team re-architectures at Perlego—owning eBook processing, server-side rendering research, and SSO solutions—while also founding Freshweb to deliver bespoke architecture and development services. Comfortable with React, TypeScript/Node, Python and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, CloudFormation, Terraform), Andre focuses on improving developer experience as a lever for better customer outcomes. He’s actively moving toward systems integration, distributed systems design and Go-based reactive services, and brings pragmatic UI/UX and business-strategy sensibilities into technical decisions. An engineer who prefers choosing the right tool for the job, he pairs hands-on implementation with architectural leadership across product teams.
