Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolAndré Torgal is an experienced software leader and advisor with 11+ years delivering front-end and platform engineering across startups and scale-ups from Barcelona. He combines hands-on engineering—leading design systems at Preply and maintaining large front-end codebases at New Relic—with product and delivery leadership, having served as technical product manager, head of frontend, and agile coach. André has a strong teaching pedigree, running intensive bootcamps and certifying teams in Kanban and Scrum, which he pairs with a pragmatic focus on architecture, test automation and developer experience. He’s repeatedly driven culture and process changes that reduced technical debt and cycle times while improving quality and predictability. Comfortable switching between strategic roadmaps and day-to-day coding, he also advises edtech and design-led startups through Button School. A not-so-obvious strength is his early career in R&D and product marketing, giving him uncommon fluency in turning technical capabilities into marketable products.
