Top SchoolAndré Veríssimo is a Senior R Shiny Developer based in Munich with 14 years of experience bridging research-grade analytics and production software for life sciences and industry. Trained at Instituto Superior Técnico with a PhD focus on adaptive clinical decision support, he has built sparse multi-omics models and automated bioinformatics workflows, then translated that rigor into applied solutions in manufacturing, logistics and consumer businesses from Deloitte to Appsilon. He combines deep statistical and software skills (R, Shiny, Linux) with practical ERP and process engineering experience, having designed SAP PP/PM solutions and mobile quality-management prototypes early in his career. A long-standing volunteer leader, André brings a social conscience to innovation—he organized and led international GASTagus projects—and contributes to open-source desktop tooling, improving UX and notification features in the popular YakYak client. Practical, research-informed and user-focused, he thrives on turning complex data-driven problems into interpretable, deployable systems.
