Top SchoolAndreas Hoffmann is a mission-driven founder and maker with 10 years of experience scaling community-focused environmental programs in New Orleans. As founder of Green Light New Orleans he designed and executed initiatives that installed over 600,000 energy-efficient bulbs, built hundreds of gardens, and reduced the city’s CO₂ footprint by an amount equivalent to all municipal street and traffic lights, while saving households an estimated $27 million. He blends creative practice—background as a touring musician, web designer for artists, and record retailer—with pragmatic operational skills in fundraising, staff leadership, impact tracking, and FileMaker programming. Based in New Orleans, Andreas brings a rare combination of artistic sensibility and data-informed program management to sustainability and community resilience work. Known as a hands-on maker on GitHub, he pairs grassroots organizing with practical tech solutions to multiply individual actions for collective benefit.
