Top SchoolAndrei Makar-uvarov is a seasoned CTO and engineering leader with over 15 years of hands-on experience building front-end applications and shaping engineering organizations. He has deep expertise in React and TypeScript, leading multiple legacy-to-React migrations and designing architectures that scale across teams of up to 17 engineers. Andrei blends technical craftsmanship—Redux, hooks, NestJS, Next.js, Go and serverless AWS patterns—with operational rigor, instituting code review, CI/CD, and quarterly architecture OKRs. He’s moved between product and platform roles, from video streaming and e-commerce analytics to a charitable healthcare initiative, demonstrating an ability to deliver user-facing SPAs and backend automation alike. Known for recruiting, mentoring and pragmatic architectural decisions, he pairs developer coaching with a strong bias for predictable, type-safe front-end systems.
