Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolAndrei Makarov is a senior software developer with 13 years of full‑stack experience, now based in Madrid and currently working across JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems at Hippo and Savehealth. He blends frontend expertise in React/React Native, Redux and SSR with backend Node.js, SQL/NoSQL databases and production deployment tooling (Ansible, Chef, Capistrano), having also led frontend teams at DrFirst. Comfortable in performance tuning and ops — from MySQL indexing and Varnish/HAProxy to Linux shell scripting — he bridges development and deployment to ship resilient systems. His background includes low-level telecom work in Erlang and early career roles in Linux engineering, which gives him an unusual depth in systems and networking for a primarily JS-focused engineer. Known for pragmatic tool choices (Webpack, Jest, Cypress, PostCSS) and a history of consulting and freelance engagements, he frequently operates at the intersection of product and infrastructure to accelerate delivery.
