Andrei Ogrenich is a founder and technology executive with over a decade of hands-on experience building fintech, blockchain, and ML-enabled products across emerging markets. He has led engineering and architecture for ventures and enterprises—from Glencore’s blockchain supply-chain platform to neobank and BaaP builds with ex-Revolut/Vivid teams—and has repeatedly turned complex financial requirements into production-grade systems. As CPTO at Buma he’s now pioneering stablecoin-native QR payments across SEA, MENA and LATAM, drawing on prior CTO and due-diligence roles in VC/PE that combined product strategy with technical audits. His background blends deep systems and mobile engineering (shipping apps that drove >80% of TSUM sales and 4.5M MAU at Stoloto) with startup scaling and hiring (50+ engineers hired at Innopolis). Trained in machine learning and software engineering at Stanford and active in developer communities, he pairs quantitative rigor with product-first execution. An unexpected throughline: he moves comfortably between low-level build optimization (Bazel-based speedups) and high-level financial architectures, making him adept at both cost- and performance-conscious engineering.
