Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolAndrej Dolenc is a pragmatic engineering leader and senior software engineer with 11 years of professional experience and over 15 years coding as a hobbyist, currently leading a team at Dewesoft from Slovenia. He combines deep C++ and systems expertise (Linux perf, storage engines, data loggers) with a track record of modernizing legacy signal-processing products and shipping NVH modules used by major industrial customers. Andrej has repeatedly driven cross-company improvements—rewriting core components, converting ~200 Mercurial repos to Git, and raising early product concerns that prompted company-wide restructuring to meet delivery deadlines. He also bridges industry and academia through guest lectures and a Dewesoft keynote to 500+ attendees, and organizes community programming initiatives like Advent of Code locally. A versatile polyglot (Python, Haskell, Scala, Common Lisp) and competition winner, he blends hands-on profiling and algorithmic problem solving with team coaching and practical product focus.
