Top SchoolAndrés Colón is a pragmatic technology architect and AI program executive with 13 years of experience modernizing large government IT systems and leading cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical services. As Chief Technology Architect at CMS he leads AI strategy, governance, and implementation for Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and agentic systems while advising HHS on enterprise AI for internal operations and healthcare delivery. He has a proven track record driving complex modernizations—from decommissioning legacy systems and migrating identity stacks to cloud to launching a modern acquisition system (CALM)—and blends hands-on technical leadership with stakeholder-facing program strategy. A serial founder and public-sector technologist, Andrés pairs entrepreneurial curiosity with practical security and DevOps experience dating back to leading Puerto Rico’s government IT and open data initiatives. Known for turning rapid proofs-of-concept into production outcomes, he combines optimistic creativity with a disciplined, risk-aware approach to change management.
