Senior🎓
Top SchoolAndres Frias is a Senior Software Engineer with a decade of experience designing and shipping large-scale, geo-distributed cloud services and consumer-facing features. He combines hands-on development (C#, C++, Kotlin, TypeScript) with technical leadership—mentoring teams, acting as Scrum Master, and driving release automation and observability. At Microsoft he led data ingestion and device management services that emphasized telemetry, anomaly detection, and plug-and-play extensibility, and at Airbnb he rapidly adopted GraphQL and Kotlin to optimize host-facing performance and TTL metrics. He favors performance-first architectures and proactive monitoring, routinely debugging hard production issues (including WinDBG-level memory and auth problems). Praised for moving quickly across backend, Android, and infra domains, he pairs systems-thinking with a practical bias for shipping resilient, measurable features. Based in Renton, WA, he holds a CS master’s from the University of Washington and a background in physics and computer engineering.
