Top SchoolAndrés Giber is a Senior Data Platform Engineer based in Barcelona with 11 years building high-scale backend services, platform APIs, and distributed systems across industries from pharma R&D to e-commerce. He blends deep Java and Python expertise with cloud-native infrastructure, Terraform, and CI/CD automation to turn ambiguous requirements into production-ready, developer-friendly platforms that significantly accelerate delivery. At Bayer and Medallia he created reusable service foundations and event-driven architectures that cut lead times from weeks to hours and doubled throughput for critical services. His background in SDN research and a master’s in computer science gives him a systems-level perspective that informs pragmatic design choices and reliability engineering. Known for creating developer tooling and templates, he quietly improves team velocity as much as system performance.
