Senior🎓
Top SchoolAndrés Torres is a Senior Software Engineer with 14 years of experience building and maintaining Ruby on Rails backends, cloud-native services, and DevOps automation across startups and enterprise teams. He blends deep object-oriented design and testing discipline (RSpec, Capybara) with practical infrastructure skills—Docker, Kubernetes (CKAD), AWS and Linux server management—to reliably ship production systems. As CTO and former CEO of an engineering firm and senior staffer at VMware, he pairs hands-on engineering with technical leadership and API-driven integrations. He is also an experienced Python developer and junior data scientist familiar with scikit-learn, pandas, Keras and PySpark, enabling him to bridge product features with ML prototypes. A native Spanish speaker based in Pereira, Colombia, Andrés brings a pragmatic mix of product-minded engineering, transactional email and payments experience, and a habit of always testing his code.
