Senior🎓
Top SchoolAndrew Ash is a Staff iOS Engineer with 13 years of professional experience and 11 years focused on Swift, currently shaping mobile products at Insulet after senior roles at Photobooth Supply Co., Route, and Paceline. He combines deep systems knowledge—AVFoundation, CoreImage, SwiftUI, Structured Concurrency and Bluetooth—with a history of shipping consumer apps (six App Store titles, including Route at 2M MAU and Paceline at 100K MAU). Notable contributions include inventing motion-detection algorithms, architecting a 50% faster real-time 4K AVFoundation engine, and standardizing native bridges for React Native integrations. A University of Toronto CS grad and former Microsoft PM, he brings cross-functional product instincts to engineering leadership and mentoring. Based in Providence, RI, he’s equally comfortable optimizing low-level media pipelines and driving product-level design decisions for high-throughput mobile experiences.
