Top SchoolAndrew Bishop is an experienced engineering manager who blends hands-on technical expertise with strong people leadership, having led teams across Microsoft, Charles Schwab, and Imagine Learning to build scalable, cloud-first SaaS and native applications. He has driven architecture and performance improvements for services at 20M+ monthly users, co-developed parts of the DOCX file format, and holds 20+ patents, demonstrating deep systems and product-level impact. Comfortable diving into code across C#, .NET, TypeScript/Node, C++ and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), he actively experiments with agentic AI, Go, and PowerShell tooling to make engineering workflows more efficient. Equally committed to mentorship and team health, he has managed distributed onshore/offshore teams while fostering career growth and operational excellence. Notably, he pairs a history of low-level platform work with modern micro-frontend and Kubernetes deployments, giving him a rare full-stack perspective on reliability and developer experience.
