Top SchoolAndrew Childs is a founder and product-first engineer with 20+ years building and scaling design-driven web applications, best known for co-founding Shortcut and designing its original client architecture and product experience. He blends hands-on front-end engineering, visual design, and organizational leadership—having grown design and research teams and modeled company culture as Shortcut scaled to serve tens of thousands of software teams. More recently he’s shifted to mission-driven startups, from diabetes-management products at Subtractive to a next-generation youth sports platform at Pennant Sports, and now balances advising with building a family-focused app to manage his son’s Type 1 Diabetes. Trained as a painter at RISD, he brings a strong product aesthetic and a knack for simplifying complex workflows into delightful interfaces.
