Senior🎓
Top SchoolAndrew Gee is a software developer with 17 years' experience building web and digital services, currently working at Neptune North after a long tenure as a Scala Developer at ITV. He specialises in Scala and the Play Framework but brings full-stack fluency from PHP/MySQL backends to XHTML/CSS/JavaScript frontends and RESTful microservices. Comfortable in Linux-led production environments, he routinely uses Git, shell scripting and Debian/Apache administration to deploy and operate services. His background includes agile, TDD and pair-programming practices to deliver public-facing government services and high-traffic sites. Early career work shows he can own projects end-to-end—from designing a custom MVC and XML APIs to implementing caching and deployment pipelines. Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, he combines practical infrastructure skills with a long-running interest in open source and maintainable code.
