Senior🎓
Top SchoolAndrew Geweke is a seasoned software engineer and engineering leader with 16 years of experience building high-scale systems and teams across Silicon Valley. Currently focused on News Feed infrastructure at Facebook, he has previously led product development and engineering at Swiftype, Couchsurfing, and Scribd, where he shipped revenue-driving systems and rebuilt engineering organizations from the ground up. He combines hands-on engineering (including designing a massively multitenant JRuby web crawler that processed billions of pages) with strategic product and team-building expertise, having hired and grown teams into high-performing units. Based in San Francisco, Andrew pairs deep backend and infrastructure instincts with a penchant for ambitious, user-facing product improvements. Less obvious: he took a seven-month through-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail, demonstrating endurance and an appetite for long-term, disciplined projects.
