Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolAndrew Gold is a Strategic Cloud Engineer with 7+ years focused on helping enterprises accelerate migrations and modernize infrastructure on Google Cloud, backed by an uncommon breadth of Google Cloud certifications across architecture, ML, security, DevOps, networking and development. He brings deep systems-level expertise from decades of hands-on work in Unix/Linux, virtualization, OpenStack, container platforms and networked, concurrent systems, having held senior engineering and architecture roles at Google, Oracle, Red Hat and others. Andrew pairs strong software engineering (C/C++, Python, Perl) with infrastructure automation (Ansible, Kubernetes, GKE) and a track record of operationalizing scalable services and CI/CD practices. He’s comfortable moving between low-level performance tuning (SR-IOV/DPDK, memory debugging) and high-level cloud design (GCS, BigQuery, load balancing), which makes him effective at both migration strategy and implementation. Based in Allen, Texas, he combines enterprise consulting experience with practical tooling and automation skills, and historically has been the go-to engineer for complex porting, packaging and system modernization projects. An atypical detail: he holds a now-obsolete Red Hat Ansible specialist credential, reflecting long-term, early involvement in automation tooling.
