Top SchoolAndrew Johnson is a seasoned founder and software engineer with 14 years building products at the intersection of maps, games, and machine learning. As co-founder and former CEO of Gaia GPS (acquired by Outside), he led coding, marketing, and finance to grow a consumer mapping business and later served as VP/GM during integration. He now co-runs Mana Pool, applying his technical and entrepreneurial experience to the Magic: The Gathering market while still shipping side projects in games, maps, and deep learning. Based in Piedmont, CA and trained at Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School, he combines hands-on engineering with product instincts and a marketer’s sense for go-to-market execution. An under-the-radar trait: he moves fluidly between building production software and niche hobby projects, turning personal passions into viable businesses.
