Top SchoolAndrew Mcknight is a Senior Software Engineer with 11 years of experience building backend systems where data modeling and reliable distributed processing matter. He has a strong track record in big data and analytics roles—from R&D at Samsung and predictive analytics at Medio Systems to optimizing large-scale job queuing and AWS-driven pipelines at STAT Search Analytics, where his parsing optimizations quickly paid for themselves. Now based in Vancouver and currently at ReallyTrusted Technologies, he focuses on observability and solving root causes rather than band-aid fixes. Comfortable across cloud services and data architectures, he combines a pragmatic engineering mindset with a philosophy-informed CS background that surfaces in thoughtful system design decisions.
