Network Engineer at Federation University Australia
Victoria, Australia
Summary
👤
SeniorAndrew Peltzer is a seasoned Network Engineer with 11 years of focused experience in firewalls, network security and architecture, currently supporting Federation University Australia from Victoria. His career spans large enterprise and service-provider environments (Telstra, Medibank, NAB) where he designed and maintained complex gateway infrastructures, led migrations, and performed deep-rooted incident and root-cause analysis. He pairs traditional network expertise—routing, VPNs, ASA/Juniper/Cisco platforms and content switching—with hands-on system administration and development experience, which accelerates troubleshooting across network and application layers. Andrew has delivered product and solutions development, security auditing and remediation, and repository/security tooling work at Amnesium, showing a breadth from consulting to senior engineering. He is practiced at communicating technical solutions to diverse audiences and embedding ITIL-based change and configuration controls into operational teams. A practical problem-solver, he tends to bridge the gap between developers and operators, turning complex requirements into auditable, maintainable network security outcomes.
