Top SchoolAndrew Schwenke is a Senior Ecologist based in Brisbane with nine years’ experience applying ecology, spatial analytics and bioacoustics to conservation and biodiversity data. He combines strong programming skills in R, Python, Ruby and Go with a PhD-focused background from QUT to turn complex ecological questions into reproducible analyses and spatial products. His roles across Queensland Herbarium, QUT and the Atlas of Living Australia reflect a blend of applied research, data engineering and policy-facing outputs. He’s comfortable bridging academic and operational contexts—having taught as a sessional academic while building analytical tools for national biodiversity platforms. Active on GitHub, he leverages open coding practices to scale ecoacoustic and spatial workflows that improve monitoring and decision-making.
