Senior🎓
Top SchoolAndrew Shell is a senior full-stack web engineer with over 14 years of hands-on experience and two decades of industry involvement, blending entrepreneurial instincts from co-founding SaaS startups with deep technical execution. He specializes in JavaScript-driven web platforms, building resilient Node.js/TypeScript backends, scalable APIs, and responsive frontends while leading and mentoring small engineering teams. As a former CTO he launched products quickly (proof of concept to field testing in six weeks), secured seed financing, and established testing and deployment pipelines that reduced risk for integrations with third-party partners. Based in Madison, Wisconsin, he pairs strong communication and documentation practices with pragmatic architecture—often creating automated mocks and Docker-based test infrastructure to enable safe refactors. Notably, he has a track record of improving performance and reliability across both startup and enterprise contexts, from kiosk React apps to complex partner API ecosystems.
