Andrew Stewart is a multidisciplinary designer and creative technologist with a decade of experience turning playful concepts into production-ready products and collectible art. As a Design Lead at IDEO’s Play Lab he led cross-functional teams to develop character-driven toys and systems for clients like Mattel, Hasbro, and SpinMaster, marrying storytelling with manufacturable design. He combines hands-on fabrication skills—sculpting, 3D printing, mold making, and CAD—with rapid prototyping and workshop facilitation to move ideas from sketch to scalable production. Since 2020 he has run Grundle Heads, independently producing original collectible sculptures, growing an engaged online audience, and exhibiting in shows like Giant Robot’s Land and Sea and Doggo Shows. His background in large-scale kinetic fabrication and content production (including work for Burning Man installations and video content for Salesforce) gives him a rare mix of experiential design and polished communication. Based in the Portland area, he seeks roles that value craftsmanship, playful problem solving, and tangible user experiences.
