Senior🎓
Top SchoolAndrew Thomas is a senior software engineer based in Toronto with 11 years of professional experience and a strong practical focus on Python and Django. He has progressed from embedded client projects to full-stack platform work, contributing to reliability and scalability at companies like Mercury and PagerDuty and leading feature delivery at Kira Talent. He’s driven cross-functional initiatives—owning a video-pipeline refactor that reduced complexity and leading platform PII/GDPR efforts that improved compliance and reduced support load during peak periods. Comfortable across the stack, he has modernized front-end layers by migrating legacy components to Vue and built RESTful APIs to support evolving product needs. A pragmatic collaborator and mentor, he blends hands-on coding with process improvements and user-focused documentation, reflecting both startup agility and enterprise-grade discipline. Originally educated in computer science at The University of the West Indies, he brings a multicultural perspective (🇯🇲🇨🇦) to engineering and team dynamics.
