Top SchoolAndrew Waters is a seasoned technology leader and hands-on engineer with over a decade building and scaling complex, distributed systems for customers like Google and Trivago. As CTO of Ctrl Hub and formerly Head of Engineering at UBIO, he combines infrastructure and application mastery—Kubernetes, Terraform, multi-cluster operations—and compliance expertise (PCI L1) with board-level reporting and OKR-driven strategy. He has a track record of transforming teams and processes: moving companies to GitOps and IaC, overhauling SDLC to ship 40+ changes per day, and running multi-million pound operational budgets while negotiating vendor contracts. Comfortable in crisis and growth phases alike, he kept teams stable through COVID-19, avoided furloughs, and built progression frameworks that improved retention and performance. A former founder who scaled a self-built CMS to six-figure ARR, he pairs entrepreneurial instincts with deep technical rigor and a taste for public speaking and community engagement.
